To The Patients of The Village Surgery
We would like to apologise for the increase in waiting time for routine appointments. Since Dr McElligott retired back in July we have actually increased GP time by two afternoons but with an ongoing influx of new patients and winter illnesses the demand unfortunately increases. We will accomodate urgent on the day appointments where possible but there is a limit to how many appointments we can provide each day. We are working closely with our neighbouring practices and can offer evening and weekend appointments at the surgeries. For one of these appointments please ask reception or call 020 3948 6908 (from 6.30pm)
We would like to thank you for your patience and ask that you bear with us during this busy time. We hope to recruit a replacement GP Partner for Dr McElligott in the near future.
Dr Turner and team.
Fax Machine Switch off
From the 1st May 2019 we will no longer accept any fax communication into the surgery. Please direct all information, prescription requests or letters to email@example.com
GP Patient Survey
Please click on the link to view the excellent results from the latest NHS England GP Patient Survey where we have scored higher than Barnet CCG and nationally in all catagories!
As from the 1st April 2018, we will only be providing blood tests for patients over the age of 65 years. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sepsis is the term used to describe a severe, life threatening reaction to infection where the body's organs are damaged. It is often not recognised in the early stages and the symptoms are often dismissed. Prompt treatment can save lives. We have posted some prompt cards on our 'further information' page which can be found on the right hand side of this page. Our staff have also received training around sepsis and how to recognise and prioritise patients with concerning symptoms. For further information please visit https://sepsistrust.org/ or https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/sepsis/
