Welcome The Village Surgery
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations. See what our patients say here.
For the latest Covid-19 advice please visit www.nhs.uk If you think you may have Covid-19, please do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Use the NHS 111 online service at https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 to find out what to do next.
Appointments at The Village Surgery-from Monday 16th March 2020:
For the safety of our patients and staff alike we are restricting access to the surgery and providing eConsultations and where necessary telephone consultations instead of face to face appointments. Please call the surgery 020 8449 6443 or email email@example.com to ensure we have the most up to date contact numbers for you.
We are also transferring paper prescriptions over to electronic prescriptions where possible so please provide us with your nominated pharmacy.
This is all to help reduce the need for patients to attend the surgery which will help to keep us all healthy during this unsettled time with the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19)
We would like to thank you for your patience and kindness as we work in a different way for the foreseeable future.
Dr Turner and all the Team.
***If you do need to attend the surgery we will use an infrared thermometer to take your temperature before you enter the building. Although this is not 100% accurate, it does go someway to give us a bit of reassurance for both staff and patients alike***
GP Patient Survey
Please click on the link to view the excellent results from the latest NHS England GP Patient Survey where we have scored higher than Barnet CCG and nationally in all catagories!
As from the 1st April 2018, we will only be providing blood tests for patients over the age of 65 years. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sepsis is the term used to describe a severe, life threatening reaction to infection where the body's organs are damaged. It is often not recognised in the early stages and the symptoms are often dismissed. Prompt treatment can save lives. We have posted some prompt cards on our 'further information' page which can be found on the right hand side of this page. Our staff have also received training around sepsis and how to recognise and prioritise patients with concerning symptoms. For further information please visit https://sepsistrust.org/ or https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/sepsis/
